Seaway Plastics Engineering acquires Wright Engineered Plastics Strengthens position as supplier to the Medical industry

Port Richey, FL, Dec. 31, 2020 -- Seaway Plastics Engineering, a mold-making and injection molding company, today completed the acquisition of Wright Engineered Plastics, a San Francisco Bay area-based injection molder for the medical, aerospace, defense and industrial markets.

Founded in 1968, Wright Engineered Plastics is an FDA registered and ISO13485-certified organization with extensive experience in precision molding, including two-shot molding, insert molding and over-molding quality parts in addition to contract manufacturing for the medical industry, including clean room capabilities.

“We’re excited to acquire Wright, as this will enable us to broaden our capabilities and geographic reach to provide full-service injection molding services to an expanded customer base,” says Tom Orr, President and CEO of Seaway Plastics Engineering. “Seaway will leverage our network of sales representatives and domestic tooling capabilities to enhance growth at the Wright division. This acquisition will also support our customer’s needs for turn-key assemblies and higher volume molding production.”
